I was born on a warm summer day in France to German parents. I grew up in the countryside discovering the beauty of nature and changes of the seasons. I enjoyed school, but woke up every morning with the desire to draw, paint and play music.
At the age of 10, my family moved to Indonesia and my world no longer had borders. My first encounter with Asia was the fragrance distributed on the plane to Jakarta, which came in individual sachets. I remember how the scent hit me; crisp and herbal, spreading like the speed of light and filled with the promise of our destination.
I enjoyed my new life abroad, eager to discover the vast and diverse island archipelago I lived in. Bali, known for its vibrant culture and mysterious beauty, enriched my senses and became the place I cherished the most; colorful, inspiring and life changing.
My Asian journey ended just before turning 16 when I traveled back to France to focus on my studies. After graduating from business school, I felt the need to reconnect with my creativity. Fascinated by fashion, I studied at IFM, the French Fashion Institute in Paris. It was an exciting year where I met the most talented personalities and creators in the world.
It soon became clear that my mission was to translate a designer’s universe into a scent and capture their soul in a bottle. My first experience was with Giorgio Armani, where I developed Acqua di Gio and Mania. Then I worked closely with Viktor & Rolf to create Flowerbomb.
During this period while working with influential designers, I spent my spare time painting in a small village of Provence surrounded by endless fields of lavender. It is a place where the earth celebrates the wild and infinite radiance of the sky and it is where I was led to color field painting.
In 2007, an art gallery in New York invited me to present my work. A few months later, I moved to the city full-time working as a painter and creative consultant in the world of fragrance.
As I explored the Chroma, I soon realized a parallel language with my love for fragrance. The connection between the two became so obvious, it inspired me to create a line of perfumes that celebrate the infinite radiance of color and the transporting power of scent.
Last Spring 2020, I made the decision to relocate to France to pursue my creative journey.
